  • THE CHAMPAGNE BAR

    Telmont

The Telmont Champagne Bar was designated as a topographic installation to recall the terroir on which Maison Telmont is located. The greenery that characterises the organicity of the Telmont soil gave its colour to the bar. Tsuchikabe technique has been used to cover the wall. Following this ancient craft, the Telmont Bar showcases a structure made out of soil and straw that is to be seen as a parallel to the Champagne territory. Likewise, the minerality, mainly coming from the chalky soil is evocated by the bottom of the bar. The lighting system behind the Telmont Bar functions through two energy generator swings, delivering a design solution that combines playfulness and sustainability. Furthermore, every plank of wood at the bar is sustainably sourced as their origin is traceable through Rebuilding Center Japan, a recycle centre for building materials obtained from house demolition.
