    Van Cleef & Arpels

Fairy creatures inspired from the novels of Jules Verne came to 21st century Tokyo at classic restaurant Joël Robuchon where two-dimensional fantasy stage sets created by French artist Hugues Reip were dotted around the chateau-like architecture inviting guests to immerse into the fantasy world of imaginary creatures, fauna and flora. Reip’s set included emerald and ruby in the form of asteroid that appeared to have fallen in to the planet evoking French jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels’ essence of fairytale world, while food created by Alain Verzeroli, director of cuisine at Joël Robuchon since 2011, seduced guests into the garden of delights.
