    Van Cleef & Arpels

Fairy creatures inspired from the novels of Jules Verne ventured into 21st century Tokyo at restaurant Joël Robuchon. Two-dimensional fantasy stage-sets created by French artist Hugues Reip were dotted around the chateau architecture, inviting guests to immerse themselves into the fantasy world of imaginary creatures, fauna and flora. Reip’s set included emeralds and rubies in the form of asteroids that appeared to have collided into the planet, further evoking French jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels’ essence of a fairytale world. Food created by Alain Verzeroli, director of cuisine at Joël Robuchon since 2011, seduced guests into the garden of delights.
