    • Dinner at Byodoin temple

      Van Cleef & Arpels

Guests were invited to the jewel of 11 century Japanese architecture, Byodoin in Kyoto for one-night only dinner. Originally built as a villa for a powerful family Fujiwara clan, Byodoin boasts treasures from 11th century as a culmination of the best carpentry and craftsmanship of that period. As guests of the nights stepped in, they were greeted with 2.4-meter tall statue of Amida buddha and his 52 Buddhist saints with calm and serene smile on their faces. Normally open to the public only during daytime, the guests of the night slipped into the magical hours of the night that brought them back to the glorious days of the past.
